The Pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar has begun some amazing changes aimed at restoring the glory of Pharmacists especially those in lagos. The pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar has shown he is determined to leave a positive mark on the profession.
One of the best things he did for Lagos pharmacists is the new zonal director he brought to head Lagos zone.
The new director has hit the ground running. He has immediately started to address all the anomalies experienced by pharmacists in Lagos. For instance in my first meeting with him in which I told him of how pharmacists were losing their money because it took months to inspect a location in Lagos, he immediately said that any pharmacist in Lagos who submits his location approval application and does not hear from the inspectors within seven days should come and see him personally and he will handle that case by himself.
I have recently been having a series of meetings with the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar representative to iron out the challenges in Lagos and the meetings so far has been wonderful.
Part of what the new zonal head in Lagos told me was that all pharmacists in Lagos with any pending issue or any issue that he or she feel they were marginalised, that such pharmacist should come and see him personally at his office in yaba.
For some of my cases which I have been fighting Lagos state premises inspectors over in Lagos, he has already handled some of them and is working on the others.
a great leader is judged by the people he places in positions of authority in a time of crisis. Pharmacy practice in Lagos has been in crisis for a Long time and the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar has appointed a worthy person to bring the change.
Now here is where I appeal to all pharmacists in Lagos to help the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar make the needed changes. Some of us have cases in court with the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar. In fact my lawyer was already going to sue PCN by next week but the new zonal director has made sure that may never happen.
I am therefore appealing that if you have been wronged in the past by something the inspectors did to you or feel slighted by the actions or inaction of the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar, kindly shelve the idea of going to court for now. Go and see the new pcn zonal director first so that you can save the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar from wasting the scarce resources that he currently has to work with.
The new zonal director has even stepped into the sealing of my premises case with the PIC and he has scheduled a meeting between us in two days time.
The pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar has started the needed changes in Lagos and I believe that with the man at the helms of affairs in Lagos that we are about to see some glorious days in pharmacy practice in Lagos in particular and Nigeria in general.
This also means that I will rest my case with the PIC for now because I think that the pharmacist council of Nigeria registrar has initiated the needed changes.
