I was recently called by a young man who was having challenges with his family. Well, I want him to share this story with his wife of how another woman redesigned her once wayward husband.
There was a Nigerian woman who was having problem with her marriage. Her husband was abusive, a drunk and always came home very late. They fought regularly and she always gave him a piece of her mind. She would call him names and accuse him of not caring for his family. When she thought she was fed and was about to leave her husband, she decided to seek the opinion of an elderly woman who had been married for more than thirty years.
The old lady asked her if she still wanted to save her marriage and she said yes. The old lady gave her a recipe. The elderly lady asked her to stop attacking her husband no matter what he did and to behave as if she did not notice any of his bad habits any more.
The younger lady agreed and went into action. When her husband came home that night by 12 am, she opened the door for him with a smile and ran a hot bath for him.
The next morning when he was leaving for work barely acknowledging her, she wished him a great day. Later in the night when he came back by 1 am, she welcomed him and asked him how was his day despite the fact that he stank of alcohol.
The next day again when he was preparing for work, she complemented his tie and helped him polish his shoes. But he barely acknowledged her and walked out.
This continued for weeks and for those weeks, she did not see any change in him but she never nagged him again nor complained about his bad habits. She complemented what ever little thing he did well no matter how small.
One day as he was leaving for work, he dropped some money on the table and left. When she called him to tell him that he forgot his money, he grunted that it was for her to buy some food in the house.
She went to the elderly lady to give her an update and the lady told her to just continue what she was doing. This continued for months until one evening, he came home from work around seven pm and asked his wife if he could go out briefly. She was shocked but did not say a word in anger she told him that he could and even helped him select the shirt she told him would help him look very nice.
He went out and came back late smelling of alcohol but not drunk. But something amazing also started to happen. He would go out late but would call her to tell her where he was and what he was doing. He would call her around 11 pm to tell her that he was still in the office and would soon be coming home.
Then the miracle happened. One day, he came home around six pm and from that day onward, he never stayed out later than seven PM. Anytime he had to stay beyond seven, we was always calling his wife to tell her where he was.
Suddenly, when his friends asked him out, he would tell them that he needed to confirm with his wife if he could go out. People around could not believe it including his wife. She went to the elderly lady to tell her what was happening and she told her that.
NAGGING A MAN WOULD SEND HIM AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM YOU WHICH IS THE SAME AS HIM DWELLING IN THE ROOFTOP BUT COMPLEMENTING HIM AND TELLING HIM HOW GREAT HE IS WOULD TURN HIM INTO YOUR PUPPET THAT WOULD DO ANYTHING TO CONTINUE GETTING THE COMPLEMENT FROM YOU.
I wish women will learn this from this woman. You cannot change a man by nagging him but when you start to complement the little good things he does for you, he would want to do more so as to get more complements from you. Men’s ego are fed and nurtured by complement. The more you feed it with complement, the more he would want to do more for you so as to get more complements.
What most women fail to realise is that although nagging gives the woman some emotional let off and makes them feel good after nagging their husband but the man feels deflated and has a punctured ego that desires to be stimulated and he goes out and a young girl tells him how smart he is, he will immediately start to gravitate towards that little girl
So, do not be the unintentional reason for your husband to start flirting
