Today, I want to show you how you can double your retail pharmacy sales in one week. I was invited by a retail pharmacy owner to train her staff. The staff blamed their low sales on the fact that the business was located upstairs. That day, I showed them how to double their retail pharmacy sales with live demonstrations.
I normally love having my training during business hours so that we can show practice examples with patients. As we started, a patient walked in to buy a cream of N200 and I motioned to the staff to watch me. I approached the lady, welcomed her and asked after her family and asked her why she wanted to buy the cream. She said she was having some rashes which goes after using the cream for a week but always comes back after a while.
I then started. I told her that the rashes were because she had some fungal infections which most likely had developed resistance to the cream she was using due to her using it and stopping once the rashes cleared. I told her fungal infection treatment needed at least a 4 week treatment duration with a combination of an oral and topical anti-fungal regimen. I then explained to her that because of the resistance she would need an antifungal cream and anti-fungal tablets.
I then also recommended a skin specific multivitamin which I explained the benefits of its various contents to keeping her skin supple and helping it fight off aging and infection.
The retail pharmacy sales from just that one patient jumped from N500 that she would have spent to over N6000.
But the magic was that after the training, the pharmacists working in there repeated the same process with their other clients and doubled the retail pharmacy sales by over 200%.
So, to double your retail pharmacy sales, you must be ready to teach your patients clinical pharmacy. You must tell a patient what is wrong with him or her because your Retail pharmacy sales money is buried in your ability to explain to the patient why he or she is experiencing the symptoms and how the drug you want to prescribe will take away the symptoms
You need to learn and master how to walk a patient through his symptom and as you are doing that, the patient will be mentally adjusting upward the money he is will to pay for his or her treatment.
